Post-Freestyle News

Nov. 15, 2011 - At Berkeley, Anya Schultz (Class of 2011) joined the Daily Cal as a multimedia producer for the new multimedia department that started about a year ago. We basically produce films that correspond with the news articles as well as make our own projects. They have Final Cut 7 and we use canon cameras. The department is new, so it is cool to be one of the people that help shape it. Also, all the film experience from Freestyle put me at SUCH an advantage for getting on and recognized.

You probably heard about the protests for Occupy Cal that happened on Wednesday (Nov. 9, 2011) in Berkeley. I shot and edited this video about it, and it's pretty exciting so you should take a look! The only part that I didn't shoot are the aerial shots from above.

I definitely wouldn't have found a love for film if it wasn't for Freestyle.

Sept 14, 2011 - Since graduating in June, 2011, Blake Bowers (Class of 2011) has been living and working as a designer in San Francisco. Blake's latest work for Kestral.
